Silicon Alley - Newcastle's Urban Televillage

The support available from Project North East

Project North East (PNE) is an Enterprise Agency - a not-for-profit organisation which provides help to people who decide to set-up and run their own business. Many of PNE's support services are provided free of charge or at low cost thanks to public funding and sponsorship.

Anyone can request an appointment to see a business counsellor about business problems. There are dedicated meeting rooms in the Business Support Centre, based at 7-15 Pink Lane, for that very purpose. Support is available for every stage from generating the initial business idea through to the growth and development of a well established firm.

PNE is well placed to help people find suitable premises through its subsidiary, North East Workspace - the developers of Silicon Alley.

Where a business needs finance to grow, it may be able to apply for assistance to one of the loan funds which PNE manage. If the need is more complex, PNE can help pull together a package of financial assistance from a range of sources.

PNE's training arm is able to offer training courses or sessions to suit the needs of most businesses.
