The Future

The Silicon Alley site has evolved over time. The two newest buildings are 63 Westgate Road and the old Tiberius Casino on Forth Lane.

The plans for the development of these buildings were produced by Mosedale Gillatt Architects who expressed their confidence in the development by choosing the Casino as the location for their offices.

Unless further suitable properties in the Silicon Alley area of Newcastle become available on realistic terms, the focus of North East Workspace activity will be elsewhere. A new building was opened at Design Works in Felling in 2005 and a heritage restoration project made workspace at Woods Pottery in the Ouseburn Valley area of Newcastle available early in 2006.

There are proposals for more new build in the pipeline.
